About the Recipe

If you love the health benefits of elderberry syrup, you’ll love turning it into delicious, chewy elderberry gummies. These classic gelatin-based gummies are a fun, tasty way to support your immune system, and they make it easy to enjoy a daily dose of antioxidants, vitamins, and natural wellness support.

This recipe walks you through how to make traditional elderberry syrup gummies using beef gelatin to create that familiar, bouncy gummy-bear texture everyone loves.

Best of all, this version uses 12 fl oz of Popple Tree Creek Farms American elderberry syrup, giving you the purest immune-supporting goodness — never imported, never from concentrate.

Why Make Elderberry Gummies?
-Immune Support Made Simple: Gummies are an easy, portable way to enjoy elderberry benefits during cold and flu season.
-Kid-Approved: Many kids prefer gummies over liquid syrup, making daily wellness routines much easier.
Tweak to Your Taste: Adjust tartness, sweetness, or firmness to create your perfect gummy texture.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 12 fl oz Popple Tree Creek Farms Elderberry Syrup

  • 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice (adds tartness + natural preservative)

  • 4–5 Tbsp beef gelatin powder (grass-fed preferred)

  • 2–3 Tbsp raw honey (optional, for extra sweetness)

Preparation

  1. Pour elderberry syrup and lemon juice into a small saucepan (do not heat yet).

  2. Sprinkle gelatin evenly over the surface and let it bloom for 3–5 minutes.

  3. Warm gently on low heat, stirring until gelatin dissolves completely (do not boil).

  4. Remove from heat, stir in honey if using.

  5. Pour mixture into silicone molds or a parchment-lined pan.

  6. Refrigerate for 2–3 hours until firm.

  7. Pop gummies out of molds (or cut into cubes if using a pan).

  8. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Extra Tips for Perfect Elderberry Gummies

  • Boost Nutrition: Stir in 1 tsp vitamin C powder (ascorbic acid) after heating to enhance immune support.

  • Texture Control: More gelatin = firmer chew. More agar = firmer but can turn brittle if overdone.

  • Kid-Friendly Shapes: Use fun silicone molds (bears, stars, hearts) to make portion control easy.

  • Storage: Always refrigerate gummies since they’re made with fresh elderberry syrup.
