Recipe Ingredients
1 oz whiskey (bourbon or rye work well)
1 cup hot water
1-2 tsp honey (optional, for added sweetness)
1 slice of lemon
1 cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
1-2 cloves (optional, for added spice)
Preparation
Mix the Toddy:
Pour 1 oz whiskey into a mug.
Squeeze in the juice of a lemon slice, then drop the slice into the mug.
If using honey, stir it in to taste.
Top Off:
Pour in the hot water and stir until everything is well mixed.
Garnish (Optional):
Add a cinnamon stick and cloves for extra warmth and flavor.
